City and Guilds Programmes
IVQ Advanced Diploma in Oil & Gas Operations
There is no formal requirements for candidates undertaking this qualifications.
Candidate must have an adequate level of English speaking, reading, listening and writing skills to competently
cover aspects of this qualification such as answering underpinning knowledge questions orally and/or in writing
and reading assessor notes regarding their observations.
Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) Programmes
- Senior School Certificate Examination (NECO) with a minimun score of C6 in five (5) academic subjects.
- West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Examination with a minimum score of C6 in five (5) academic subjects.
- The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Examination with an average of C6 in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics with no grades lower than C5.
- Level 5: Diploma Qualification is needed for the Advanced Diploma Level
- Level 6: Advanced Diploma Qualification is needed for the Graduate Diploma Level
Institute for Professional and Executive Development (IPED) Programmes
Oil and Gas Management
Level 4 Diploma in Oil and Gas Management
General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or equivalent with passes in Mathematics and English
Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Oil and Gas Management
Level 4 Diploma in Oil and Gas Management or equivalent in a closely related field. The following modules must have been taken:
- Petroleum Geology
- Petroleum Exploration
- Project Management
- Risk Management
Exemptions may be granted for closely related modules studied in a recognized institution.
Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Oil and Gas Management
Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Oil and Gas Management or equivalent in a closely related field. The following modules must have been taken:
- Drilling
- Well Testing
- Well Completion
- Management of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Risks in the oil and gas industry
Exemptions may be granted for closely related modules studied in a recognized institution.
Business Administration and Strategic Management
Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration and Strategic Management
General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or equivalent with passes in Mathematics and English
Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Business Administration and Strategic Management
Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration and Strategic Management or equivalent in a closely related field. Exemptions may be
granted for closely related modules studied in a recognized institution.
Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and Strategic Management

Banking and Finance
Level 4 Diploma in Banking and Finance
